Movement is Medicine

This program addresses physician proficiencies in addressing an exercise prescription that is safe and effective for patients across the spectrum of health conditions. By the end of the program participants are able to better identify risk factors and work to both treat disease and achieve patient goals with a foundation in exercise science.

Roger Mignosa, DO, is a physical medicine and rehabilitation physician, clinical professor of medicine, and exercise physiologist. He practices at the University California, San Diego and Osteopathic Center San Diego. He teaches at numerous medical schools including the University of Arizona, Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine. Prior to medical school Dr. Mignosa served as a Rotary Goodwill Ambassadorial Scholar at the University of Queensland, Australia, where he studied clinical exercise science and he led an exercise physiology practice in Orange County, California. Dr. Mignosa has lectured at both national and international medical conferences in the fields of pain, rehabilitation, exercise science, and mental health.
